However once she became aware of the Massage Therapy profession , she was fascinated and intrigued by how this industry could improve the quality of people’s lives on such a personal and profound level. Once she had received her very own first RMT treatment, she was compelled to begin her journey into the profession.

At the beginning of her Massage Therapy career Susan began her RMT practice within the Artistic Esthetic Spa, in downtown London for several years. Where as prior to that she was a working Esthetician for some time, also at that same location . From there she joined a clinic in North West London and became an RMT Associate with two Chiropractors. Soon following that she opened Hands in Health within the current location today.

Susan’s particular Massage Therapy style is unique. She integrates many of those first mentioned techniques together within her treatments along with therapeutic deep tissue & traditional Swedish relaxation massage .With now 20yrs of hands on experience, she has attained great skill and intuition in her hands on assessment, treatment & has a finely developed sense of touch. Susan considers herself a ‘general specialist’ so to speak , having treated people with all kinds of conditions such as ; headaches, migraines, sprains / strains, post surgeries, pre and post natal symptoms, car accident rehab, and WSIB cases to mention a few. However she feels some of her strengths are in the treatment of chronic pain, fibromyalgia , and new injuries.
Susan is motivated and inspired by the positive benefits that she herself has received for her own injuries and rehabilitation , as well as her clients also have from traditional Massage Therapy, and especially the CranioSacral & Reiki techniques .Those of which she combines within her regular customized massage treatments. She also offers many of these particular techniques specifically on there own as a specialty, depending on each client’s desires and needs.
Many of the early years in Susan’s practice she dedicated much time and effort to volunteering, as well as educating the public and promoting the Massage Therapy profession in a variety of settings.
In recent years she has turned her focus to within the clinic mentoring and supporting the newer graduates and associate therapists who have joined her team.
Susan really feels honored to have worked with such a talented group of therapists over the years within her clinic. She also feels extremely fortunate to be able to have helped so many people by doing what she loves for a living. Many of her original cliental of her RMT practice still seek her treatments today to maintain their well being, and have also referred many of their friends and family through the years.
Personally she engages in a healthful active lifestyle, and enjoys spending time with her young son, family, and friends. She believes a balanced life is a happy one and does her best to achieve that.

Kathryn’s personal experiences led her to develop an interest in a natural lifestyle. This made a career in Massage Therapy not only extremely appealing, but also logical choice for her.
She enjoyed learning the many different massage techniques such as trigger point therapy, deep tissue and Swedish styles. Also, she found the academic training and focus on anatomy, physiology, pathology, and orthopedic testing, fascinating and enlightening.
Kathryn joined our team at Hands In Health following her Massage Therapy Registration in 2006. Immediately she proved to be motivated and open to developing her skills as a new therapist. Since then she has successfully treated many clients for neck pain and headaches, low back pain and sciatica, as well as general chronic stress relief, and more.

She finds one of the most rewarding parts of this profession is to be able to help people decrease their pain and improve the quality of their lives. Her aim is to help each individual client maintain their physical well being. When not working she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family and most especially taking long walks with her beautiful golden retriever.
